In genere non ripongo molta fiducia nei musicisti che seguono fedelmente le mode correnti, ma in alcuni casi bisogna mettere da parte accademismi e buttarsi nella mischia, per la serie che si è avuto la bicicletta bisogna pedalare.
La bicicletta in questione si chiama chillwave, genere musicale generato dal mescolarsi di beat elttronici, indie music e impiego di lo-fi.
Fenomeno nato nel 2009, ancora oggi sopravvive, soprattutto in USA, dove proliferano seguaci di questo stile.
Tra questi Change Leopardon è uno dei migliori; col suo Ep, scaricabile gratuitamente da last.fm o dalla sua pagina bandcamp, composto da sei tracce molto belle, fatte di sonorità elettroniche e melodie da salsa e merengue. Sulla sua pagina myspace, Change risulta essere di New York e fedele alla linea psichedelica, di cui si intravede qualcosa, soprattutto nei voli di note che crea, accompagnati di dely, cori e riverberi.
In breve: questo ep merita di essere ascoltato tutto, soprattutto da chi ha amato Neon Indian e i Teenage Reverbe. E non solo da loro…
