PIERPOINT is the light-heartedness converted into melodies. The love for funk, electronics and disco has generated an EP elegant, posh, just for dandies. It ‘s the sophisticated glamor of the people who do not attend clubs but only the private parties on penthouse in Rome. But without exaggeration: they areordinaries, and this EP isn’t ordinary.

PIERPOINT è la spensieratezza luminosa convertita in melodie.
L’amore per il funke, per l’elettronica e per la disco ha partorito un EP elegante, dandistico, quasi snob.
E’ il glamour sofisticato di chi non frequenta le discoteche ma solo le feste private negli attici romani.
Senza però esagerazioni. Troppo banali, e qui di banale non c’è nulla.

ENG: You already feel nostalgia for this summer flying away quickly? Scutheotako has the antidote to ‘incantation of speed: with the’ EP Multilayer shakes the palm trees, refreshes the skin, stirred the sea with waves worthy of the ‘Pacific Ocean. It ‘a funky vibrant, sincere, a clean nu disco reminiscent of Get Lucky of Daft Punk. Perhaps too much. But at a nice rhythm you can forgive everything.

Rate: 8/10  Genre: funky, disco, nu disco.

ITA: Senti già nostalgia di questa estate che vola via velocemente? Scutheotako ha l’antidoto all’ incantesimo della velocità: con l’ EP Multilayer scuote le palme della spiaggia, rinfresca la pelle, agita il mare con onde degne dell’ oceano pacifico. E’ un funky vivace, sincero, una nu disco pulita che ricorda i Daft Punk di Get Lucky. Forse troppo. Ma ad un ritmo così bello si può perdonare tutto.

Generalmente dopo l’ascolto di un bel pezzo non mi precipito a scriverne così, su due piedi; però per questa volta faccio volentieri uno strappo. Expensive Looks è il nickname di un producer americano (di NY), Alec Feld, che ci regala un sound tra il chillwave e l’hip hop. Ha ritmo nel cuore e voglia di divertirsi nelle note. Il suo mix Bullet Mag ti invita a ballare e ad anticipare il momento di andare al tuo club preferito, infischiandosene del fatto che è solo l’ora di pranzo e che siamo solo al momento del caffè. Mi ha ricordato i tempi di All for you di Janet Jackson, e questo solo è bastato per convincermi che non è mai presto per prepararsi a far festa. Con Nothing More invece, si indirizza di più verso il disco-garage, con risultati affascinanti e solari. E questo, invece, ti convince a fare il caffè sul quel bar in spiaggia che è rimasto paerto in questa domenica di sole.

Davvero da brivido.
