Nella musica di Alberto Canestrari, in arte STRi, sono le stelle a parlare.
Di una freschezza compositiva interessante, ricca di dely, riverberi, cori e voci spaziali, questo progetto musicale nato nel 2009 come “one man band”, a metà strada fra lo shoegaze e l’indie-rock, vibra di luci ammalianti e pulsanti; traendo forse ispirazione dal semi nostrano His Clancyness – per la delicatezza di certe melodie e l’impronta volutamente affrettata della composizione (STRi crea alcuni brani direttamente durante i live) – e dall’indie/chillwave americana, questo progetto musicale ha basi interessanti e accattivanti che sconfinano col psichedelico.
Affascinante è il mixage creato fra club music – ci sono canzoni che potrebbero benissimo spacciarsi per musica da dj-set – e una venatura di dreampop- leggici i Memoryhouse; STRi si veste dunque di note internazionali e surreali, soprattutto nei testi, composti da parole connesse tra loro come su di un filo a mò di perle, scelte solo per la loro musicalità.
Eccentrico, visionario – anche nei suoi ritratti, da guardare sia sul myspace che sulla pagina facebook – cattura l’attenzione, speriamo non solo di una ristretta cerchia di cultori del genere.

In the music of Alberto Canestrari, in art STRi, they are the stars to speak.
Its music has an interesting freshness, rich of dely, reverberations, choirs and spatial bawls; this musical project, been born in 2009 as “one hand band”, to half road between the shoegaze and indie-rock, it waves of lights catchy and pulsating and it perhaps draws inspiration from His Clancyness – for the delicacy of certain melodies and the imprint deliberately naif of the composition (often, STRi directly creates some passages during the live) – and from the american indie/chillwave.
This italian artist – of Pesaro - has interesting bases that trespass with the psychedelic one.
It is fascinanting the mixage created among club music and a vein of dreampop – you read the Memoryhouse -; STRi therefore dress of international and surreal notes, especially in the texts, composed by connected words among them as pearls, choices only for their musicality.
Eccentric, visionary – also in his portraits, to look both on the myspace that on the page facebook – Alberto Canestrari captures the attention, we hope not only for a narrow entourage of lovers of this music’s kind.
